General FAQ
Can I change the keys for the special skills?
Yes. All special actions using B or C can be remapped. Open Scripts > General > zzz_HOTN-initialize.lua and change the key codes there.
Is Advanced Classes Mod for MMMerge compatible with multiplayer?
Yes, the mod is fully compatible with multiplayer. In multiplayer mode, summoned creatures do not disappear when their owner dies. This behavior is intentional and designed to prevent rare but serious engine issues related to entity handling during death events. As a result, multiplayer gameplay remains stable, safe, and fully playable for all players.
Is Advanced Classes mod compatible with MAW?
No. This mod is not compatible with MAW. Due to fundamental technical differences between both systems, combining them results in multiple game errors and instability. For this reason, using both mods together is not supported.
Do you plan to release more mods in the future?
Yes. Advanced Classes Mod for Might and Magic was only the first module.
Why was Dodge changed? Is it stronger now?
Yes — and intentionally so. Dodge now allows players to fully avoid incoming attacks, regardless of skill mastery. The chance starts very low at early levels (around 5%) and can reach up to 25% at 20 skill points. This change was necessary because the vanilla Dodge skill contains a known bug, and many of the new classes rely on Dodge as a core mechanic. The rework ensures consistent behavior, proper scaling, and reliable gameplay balance.
